A Divo. But they are not... Diva is a name exclusive for women... Diva came from the word Divina, in italian. (Wonderful in english).

Opera Fanatics started call their favorite Opera singers Divina in the XIX Century... Then I don't know how the word got short, Diva.

So, Female Opera singers, (Sopranos) have been called Divas.

Now the concept has being use for men (Divo) For Pop Stars, and For some Transsexuals too.
