Whatever the health freaks tell you there is no significant nutritional differences between white and brown sugar - and certainly NO FIBRE in either. Both are packed with calories and both should be taken in moderation - Personally I prefer the taste of brown sugar - but white sugar IS THE PUREST.

White sugar is highly refined with many chemicals and is poisonous. Brown sugar is not and is safe.

I read somewhere that if refined sugar makers were to apply for permission to go on sale in to days market, the FDA would ban it as a poison. The poisonous affects of refined sugar are long term.

Brown sugar has syrup in it bown sugar taste nothing like white sugar. Brown surgar is used mostly in baking cakes and pastaries.

brown sugar is white sugar that has molasses in it and white sugar comes from sugar cane or sugar beets. many people use brown sugar in their coffee, they say it tastes better.
