The bible says of the people who go to heaven, they will rule with Jesus Christ over the ones who live on the earth!

Matthew 19:28 Jesus said to them: “Truly I say to YOU, In the re-creation, when the Son of man sits down upon his glorious throne, YOU who have followed me will also yourselves sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Revelation 5:9 And they sing a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered and with your blood you bought persons for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and there were those who sat down on them, and power of judging was given them. Yes, I saw the souls of those executed with the ax for the witness they bore to Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had worshiped neither the wild beast nor its image and who had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for a thousand years.

Revelation 22:5 Also, night will be no more, and they have no need of lamplight nor [do they have] sunlight, because Jehovah God will shed light upon them, and they will rule as kings forever and ever.

Psalms 37:9 For evildoers themselves will be cut off,
But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.

10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.

11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

22 For those being blessed by him will themselves possess the earth,
But those upon whom evil is called by him will be cut off.

Matthew 5:5 “Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.

Daniel L,
I am wondering the same thing. Look at how all those people assumed that it would be boring!

If you are a Christian, then you expect that you will spend whatever time is with God. The one who created everything. We will be without the sinful nature, that's the part of us that dies. We will be whatever we were supposed to be before Adam fell.

Read Ezekiel 1 and try to figure out what that was all about? Is that going to be up there too?

Don't forget. He created everything. And He will recreate everything, including us.

There are 12 gates where we are going. They are always open. There are angels guarding those gates. Why are they guarding them? What about what's on the other side of the gates?

How much are we going to be able to do?

Err... let me think about that for a minute.

Oh yeah, I know... Nothing, that's what.

Why I hear you ask?
Because it was just made up to control your mind / life / actions!

You see some clever blokes in the middle-east thousands of years ago realised they didn't have a clue how things worked, why we were here or what our purpose was. They also realised that no one else did either so they "Made Up" a God. It was a convenient cover-all answer to all the big questions and it helped them control their growing civilisation with a Mixture of some common sense rules and the OH SO NASTY stick and carrot of the Afterlife.

Throw that crap away, we don’t need it anymore.

Do you own a Bible? If so read Revelation. You will find that there are only 144,000 going to Heaven,(Rev14;1-) and they have work to do with Jesus. They are to be Kings and Priests over those who remain on earth forever in God's Kingdom.
The Bible isn't a mystery. With just a little help you too can understand it.

I believe that we will be given responsibility in heaven. There will be a reordering of the Kingdom of God on earth. It will be a joy to serve Him. Just as if there were a great peace movement on earth many would want to be a part. I believe that the Kingdom of God on earth and in heaven will be a wonderful and happy place to be and to serve God and mankind in ways that will be rewarding to the personal nature God has given us. Eg. ...If my gifts are teaching , writing , knowledge, faith, evangelism, arts and crafts, music ....then these are the gifts that will be fullfilled in beautiful ways in eternity. My life will be meaningful. I heard one person who had a death and back experience say that she felt that she "was the person she always wanted to be, going to the place she always wanted to go,and doing the thing she always wanted to do." It will be eternal fullfillment in all areas of what God wanted for me when He created me. And as Forest Gump says "and that's all I'm gonna say about that."
Lots of love .

I think we'll do the same things we do here but in a place free of sin, strife, useless suffering, pain, etc. We'll live life, love, enjoy one another, serve one another, build, grow in wisdom and strength and honor, create art and music and poetry, create nations and governments that actually help people and respect our world without fear of war or disease or global warming or terrorists or a million other atrocities. Basically we'll do what we were meant to do all along and in doing so, we'll praise the One who lovingly created us. Hardly boring if you ask me.

Firstly is the soul not the people.
They don't have to worry about money or what they have to do next, but relax and enjoy the beauty of heaven.

Exactly, it's a boring place. Can't understand why Christians think it's the place to be in.

Worship the infinite God, and learn more about His character (we can never know Him fully in our finite minds, even though we have eternity to do it!).
