I've studied the Vedas for 35 or 40 years. These are revealed scripture that are over 5000 years old (and that's when they were written down...they've existed ions before that happened, and were passed down word of mouth.) They were written down at the beginning of this Age of Kali Yuga, as men's(& women's) memories became much shorter and not very reliable for repeating exactly what we hear. Before that, in previous yugas, people's consciousness were on a much higher plane, therefore they could remember more and remember exactly what they heard, and pass it on that way. Plus, being purer in consciousness, they were free of false ego problems and selfishness, and would not misinterpret these scriptures and twist them around and change their meaning based on their own materialistic desires. Never stop being curious, and never stop being inquisitive...you can go far like this, for it is meant for the human intelligence to inquire constantly and seek the "Truth."
