If you'r feeding your cat wet food, as you should be, she may not need to drink.
Wet food, like fresh killed prey, is about 80% water. Cats are desert creatures by nature and one of the ways they've evolved to survive in the desert is that they get their moisture from their prey. If they're eating mainly canned or pouch food, they're getting their moisture from their meals.
If they're eating dry food and not drinking, then you've got a problem! As desert creatures, cats have a very poorly developed thirst reflex, and if they're not getting enough moisture in their food, they're apt to not drink enough to make up for it. Very serious health problems can result from that.
My late, great Rusty ate wet food and in his entire life I only saw him drink once. That was outside, from a fresh rain puddle. He always had a bowl of fresh water available, but he never used it.
My current cat, Scamper, has been with me for months now, and I have yet to see him drink.
So if you're feeding kitty wet food, don't worry about her not drinking. If you're not feeding wet food, worry a lot and get her to a vet. And read here to learn why you should be feeding her wet food!

I've had this problem too don't worry. Cats are picky creatures by nature even when it comes to drinking water. Most of the time it actually depends on the type of dish that you use and the water that you put in it. If your cat has a plastic water dish I would advise you to get rid of it and get a metal one. A cats sense of taste is much more defined than a humans, and a plastic dish sometimes gives the water a funny taste. It's like drinking water out of a water bottle that has been sitting out of the fridge for a days..it has that weird plastic taste. A metal dish avoids that problem and keeps the water tasting crisp. Another thing you should do is filter the water. If you a brita water filter system or something of that nature, then you should give your cat filtered water. If not just simply boil some tap water, place it in a jug and stick it in the fridge over night and give that to your kitty. Filtering the water gets rid of any impurties and weird tastes that a cat will pick up on. It might be a little bit of work but I guarantee it will work. In the mean time close your bathroom doors so that your cat can't get into the tub. Its not good to let them drink that water since you usally clean the tub with strong cleaning products and its full of bacteria that can be harmful to your cat. Try the metal dish and the filtered water and it should work. I gurantee it.

Cats don't need to drink a lot so don't worry about dehydration.
Believe it or not, cat food, even the dry type has moisture (read the labels on the cans and bags) which helps supply their needs.
It's rare for 2 cats to be exactly alike and they each have their own quirks so being "wacked out" is normal for you kitty.
My cat loves to jump in the shower when I'm done and will drink the water left behind in the tub because he "thinks" it's a cool thing to do. He also like to stick his head under the faucet to drink running water rather than use the bowl. As if this isn't enough, he also likes to stand on the toilet seat and watch the paper go down...
One thing most cats have in common is they don't like to stick their heads inside a dish to eat or drink (unless they're really desperate). If your cat's bowl is deep and she has to reach inside to drink, this could be why she prefers "tub water".
I honestly wouldn't concern myself over my cat's drinking preference, quirky as it may be as long as it's happy and healthy. Years from now when your cat has gone over the Rainbow Bridge, you'll always remember the odd things she used to do and be happy you had such an inventive fur baby.

You might have to keep a bowl in the tub for her to drink out of or try the automatic drinking fountains for cats.
Our other cat used to always play in her water dish and tip it over all over the floor on a daily basis. We had to put the water dish in the shower stall :)

I too have a picky cat, he loves to drink from a running faucet. So I purchased a fresh water fountain that they sell at PetSmart, thinking this would solve the problem. No, he still bothers me to leave the faucet running. To make matters worse, he loves to drink out of a glass. So, I fill a crystal martini glass with fresh water and he is one happy cat. I would say as long as your cat drinks, and is not getting any soap residue from the tub, this must just be the way she is. Gotta love cats for all their little quirks!

Because they seem to like fluids that flow from a water supply. In a dish, 4 sum reason they dont like it. But for water coming down a faucet or water left on a tub. I had the same thing, trust me, they wont stop drinking from their unless their indoor/outdoor cats.

I have 4 cats and only 2 of them drink from their dish. The other 2 drink from the tub (like yours) and the toilet (like a dog). Near as we can figure it's nothing more than they like fresh water.
Consider going to someplace like PetSmart and getting a water dish that moves the water, then you may have fewer problems.

My cat is picky about where he drinks too. Try putting the bowl in the sink or bathtub and make her get used to it but make sure she watches you use the water from the tub.
Some cats don't like it when it gets stuck in there whiskers and face, maybe try another size bowl as well.

I've had lots of cats and none of them ever drank from their water dish - my cats always preferred puddles outside and just like yours now, from the tub or the kitchen sink - don't know why though but it is definitely normal behavior for a cat.
