That is if the divorce is not because of adultery but they just want to be friends and not be married.

Of course they will. In fact if the divorce isn't because of adultery then they will go to Hell regardless. This is because the divorced person is living in a continual state of adultery. So no matter how much they repent the sin of divorce will still be there. So all divorcees who aren't divorced because of adultery will burn forever in Hell.

Surely not. The sin is to betray your spouse, not the divorce because the divorce is not recognized by the church. On that point of view every person divorced is still married to his/here spouse. So only if "marries" again or lives with new person is guilty of a sin. I am only not sure about breaking the oath given before God in regard of carrying for spouse if they live apart. But how about the same in continuous marriage?

No, divorcees will not go to hell, it just depends on what you did to get that divorce though that may need repenting for. Point me one place in the bible that says divorcees will go to hell. I do know that the bible says that there is not one sin that can not be forgiven except the blaspheming of the Holy Ghost.

Divorce is not sin. Divorce is the result of sin. Divorce is sometimes 'salvation'. God instituted divorce. Man has made divorce ugly. God intended divorce for those who were trapped in a bad relationship as a means of escape for the victim.
The problem we have today is not divorce-but marriage. Most People today rush into marriage to legitimate sex. It almost always fails. Divorce is a good thing-but we should not "abuse" it.

I think that god understands in life when mistakes are made and is a very understanding god and there is nothing that god won't give , all you have to do is ask for his forgiveness and it will be done. But no i don't think that you'll go to hell, if that is the case hell would be over crowded with alot of divorcees and plainly i think that hell is for people with much greater sins.

Why assume there even IS a Hell? Just because yoiu were told to believe it? If you knew that the whole concept of Hell was NOT originally a part of Judaism (which Christianity invokes for authority), but borrowed from Paganism; that in its original form, Hell was NOT permanent, but a temporary purge; AND that it is grossly immoral to send anyone to eternal punishment, since no one is infinitely evil, you would reject the concept of Hell as barbaric.

If that's the case, then a lot of born again Christians are in great danger. Jim & Tammy Faye divorced, and she re-married ... all the while professing that God loves them. So, if God can ignore their actions, then what about the rest of the world?

I wouldn't worry about this, despite the scary statements that you will hear. Myths are everywhere.

Let's put it like this: My first husband left me with a child and another one on the way. I didn't leave him. For more than a year I fought a hard and losing battle of trying to save my marriage. Was it wrong of me to move on with my life, AT 20?

After many years, and with my daughters grown and with lives of their own, I finally found a good man and I'm happier now than I have ever been in my life. I doubt that God would hold that against me, and quite frankly anyone who does needs to get a life.

First of all Divorce isn't a sin. What if they spouse is un-faithful? What does Jesus say about that? Do a little more reading and investigation before you ask stupid questions.
