first, i would give her a bath using a flea/tick shampoo. wash her once and keep her in the bathroom while you clean up the rest of the house. wash your sheets and sweep the floors real good. then go in the bathroom and wash her again to make sure you got all of the fleas out. also, buy her a flea collar to put on her once she is all clean. i had this problem with my cat last year and that solved it. yes, those little bastards bite humans too!!

Cats hate baths. If you need to bathe the cat let your vet do it, it's worth the 10 bucks. Don't use Seven on your cats as their respiratory systems are very fragile. They best thing to do is to go to the vet.
Get a capstar tablet (about 4 buckaroos) it will kill all fleas within an hour. Then apply either Frontline, Revolution (Best product ) or any of the other flea and tick preventatives. Have your cat checked for worms. If she has inhaled a flea it can cause tape worms (looks like dried rice in her poop) And that's a whole different kind of problem.

Fleas will bite wherever they can find blood.
What you want to do is get her dipped, then apply Frontline to continue repelling the fleas. And treat the rest of your house for them.
Wash the bedding and vacuum the mattress. Use a flea-killing powder to kill the fleas on your furniture and in your carpet and vacuum there too. And keep vacuuming every day or every other day for at least 3 weeks: That's about how long new eggs take to hatch. Arm and Hammer has a powder that I've used to good effect. If you can't find a powder, believe it or not powderred laundry detergent works too.
Good luck!

Fleas are a blood sucking parasite that feed on all animals, not just cats. And yep, they will gladly jump from one warm body to the next one. It is vital to get the problem under control. If the infestation is bad enough, it can lead to anemia and even death. Cats tend to be very sensitive to a lot of products. I use FrontLine or Advantage. Advantage brings results quicker, but Frontline lasts longer. Make sure you get the flea medicine made for cats, and one appropriate for your cat's weight. Do not use a flea collar if you decide on the topical treatments. The collars are mostly ineffectual anyway. Both products should be available at your local pet store.

Whoops.
You need to go though a house-cleaning process, I'm afraid.
Vacuum first, spray inside the bag before and after vacuuming, to kill any fleas you pick up. Spray the floor and soft furniture of every room she uses with anti-flea. Get her on a course of Frontline or Advantage/Advantix (ask your Vet which).
Why?
Fleas lay lots of eggs on a cat. The cat goes around the house, dropping the eggs. Eggs hatch between 2 weeks and 52 weeks later, depending on the temperature and other things. Before you know it, a couple of fleas becomes a couple of hundred.
Oh, spray the mattress, both sides and the bed base. Rugs etc. See internet for bug traps too.

It is so simple!! Get some Advantage at the feed store and that is it. Put it on the cat every 4-6 weeks and end of story!!!!!!
Stay away from the Seven dust!!!!! That is toxic and I assume you do not want toxic chemicals on the cat if it is sleeping with you!!!!!!!!! If you do not do something soon, the fleas will infest the house and then you will be covered with flea bites!!!!!!!

i ought to provide the cats flea baths you should definately take the cats to the vet to get flea treatment. also i ought to look into trojan horse bombs you will get on the save. There are ones pretty for fleas and do this beforehand bringing the cats decrease back into the abode. The vet is the costliest area the besides the undeniable fact that it is had to because the fleas can bring about worms and the scratches and bites can get contaminated plus the tension will make your cats ill. they could commence chewing their fur off because of the fleas and stress.

ew gross...yes they can get on humans. if you are itchy and have tiny little red bumps anywhere on you, those are flea bites.
either bring your cat to a vet and they will give you something for it, or go to a pet store and you can find anti-flea medicines and shampoos there...and then put a flea and tick collar on the poor thing!
