Start looking for another job, especially if you're not satisfied with other working conditions (job type, salary etc).

Now this happens to me every day. What I do is I let the anger build up inside me until not only can't I think straight, but all my nerve endings go numb and I end up passing out. Next thing you know you wake up in the rubber room with track marks in your arms from the Thorazine and drool leaking from the side of your mouth to the floor because of the drug induced sedation. Works for me!

Really, just laugh it off. Lifes too short.

Get up, go into the bathroom and cool off. Get a cup of coffee or tea for yourself and realize that she is just a person who might be miserable but doesn't have to make you miserable.

Try feeling sorry for her.

I had a really MEAN boss and it turned out that after I quit, I found out that she had a heart condition and couldn't pay for her treatment and was really hurting.

I suggest walking away from the situation for a while, take in a few deep cleansing breaths, once your thinking more rationally and clearly, kick the sh*t out of them. That should do it!

Let it go, you have to work with this person...it's not a friend. However, if it's something that will come up again and again...wait a day to cool off and then go talk to the person.

You take a deep breath and know that the world doesn't end there. That you're a better person. You'll try not whatever your coworker did ruin your day.

my husband left me after 21 years with a phone call from work, then proceeded to have me arrested three times in two months by going to a magistrate and lying that I "cursed" him on the phone- costing me thousands in defense fees when I DID NOTHING- absolutely nothing. when i was at my angriest I prayed for serenity and asked that God judge my husband so I didn't have to- it worked.
