German Shepherd of Course. German Bloodlines. German Shepherds can be used for a variety of purposes, such as show, schutzhund, work, search and rescue, therapy, service and magnificent family companions and guardians. Do the research before you decide. On temperament, health etc. Each breed has specific health issues that arise. Dogs are not perfect creatures. Whatever dog you decide to purchase make sure you work with a breeder that has a passion for what they do. Ask for references, ask to see the facilities, ask if they have had any health problems with any of the pups. If they say no...they are either brand new to the breed or are not being honest. I've listed a couple of GSD breeders and sites for your review. =)
No matter what the breed, you can have a wonderful companion. It is all in the way you raise them and how they have been raised thier first weeks of life.

Who knows..I have a abandoned 10 month old Dobie at my house now and he is "very active". Like he has ADHD. I am not a Dobie person, so this bothers me. Otherwise, he is very sweet and smart and does not require a lot of coat care.

There are specific breeds for specific reasons. Therefore the reason you want either would need to be known before someone could answer. Each dog has their good and bad points. Do you have kids? cats? land? apt? want guard dog? what?
