Good question. With my current man I'd worked with him for a couple of months just flirting because nothing could happen because there were professional/ethical issues. On the day I left he asked me to dinner, after which we went back to his and chatted until 3am.

Like a gentleman he offered me the spare room at which point I was like 'is this a date are you ever going to kiss me?'. Turns out he is very shy so I kissed him (for ages) and then he turns all masculine and leads me to his bedroom.

I do think that maybe it was a bit soon- all of 10 minutes or so between the first kiss and first shag but I haven't looked back and we've spoken about it since. It seems he was over the moon I was so enthusiastic about him that I was willing to forgo all the usual female games about making em' wait. Consequently he respected me more for being unashamed at my feelings for him and able to do my own thing regardless of how it may appear to others. He really means it too before anyone suggests otherwise!

So waiting isn't necessarily for the best if you are only doing it because you think you should. Be mature enough to go with your own instinct.

There is really no time limit for this. You want to be sure that you both feel comfortable with eachother and are ready to take it to the next level. Don't set a time limit and say to yourself, "Ok, I'm going to have sex with this person in exactly 1 month." Instead, allow things to happen naturally and just enjoy. Some couples take longer to get together than others and when sex occurs it is usually determined by the female since us guys want it all the time.

A couple of months. I wanna be darn sure of her first. It's called "I've been there, done that and bought the t-shirt and gotten my behind pounded survival guide!"

l think 6-7 weeks is a nice time to wait, it's long enough to make him wait to respect you and long enough to get to know each other with out having to wait tooooo long!

As long as you wish. I prefer waiting until I know I can trust him and can talk to him trully freely. But it's your body, your choice.

It all depends on how both parties feel. You can put a timeline on it but when there is chemistry you can't help it.
