CHINESE COLE SLAW

1 head cabbage
1 green pepper
1/2 c. sunflower seeds
1/2 c. slivered almonds
2 pkg. uncooked Ramen noodles, broken up

DRESSING:

4 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp. vinegar
2/3 c. oil
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
Seasoning from noodles

Shake dressing ingredients together and set aside. Chop cabbage and pepper and add nuts.
Just before serving, add dry, broken up Ramen noodles and pour dressing over salad. Serve immediately.

Cook Ramen noodles without seasoning. Let cool. Shred cabbage and add scallions. Add noodles. Toast almonds and sunflower seeds in olive oil.

Add to cabbage mixture when cool. Combine dressing and toss slaw at the last minute.

CHINESE COLE SLAW

1 head cabbage, shredded
5 green onions, chopped
1 stick butter, melted
2 pkg. Ramen noodles
1 can sesame seeds
1 pkg. slivered almonds
1 c. oil
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. soy sauce

Toss cabbage and onion together, brown noodles, sesame seeds and almonds in butter (add sesame seeds last to prevent burning). For dressing mix oil, sugar, vinegar and soy sauce in blender. Toss all ingredients together just before serving.

2 pkg. Ramen noodles, broken up

DRESSING:

1 c. oil
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tsp. sesame seeds

Mix all together (slaw, onion, almonds). Add dressing 2-3 hours before serving. Add noodles just prior to serving.
