You hold a tissue up to the end of your nose to prevent blood from going down your face, and wait for it to clot.

NEVER TIP your head back. NEVER. The blood will run down the back of your throat and maybe into your lungs and you may drown. Pinch the bridge of your nose with your thumb and forefinger and press firmly. lean slightly forward until the bleeding has stopped. If it doesn't stop in a few moments, try a cloth soaked in ice water. Again place this over the bridge and pinch.
If the blood keeps running, you may have a fractured blood vessel and will need cauterising at hospital.

You can stop it by putting your thumb and funger on your nose with a tissue or toilet paper. Then get a small bag of ice and put it on your nose for a little while because it helps slow the bleeding faster. Trust me even though I'm 14 I know because it happens to me somethmes and I took an American Red Cross test and I definetly pass it. So yah trust me on this.

one get a tissue
two tilt your head back pinch your nose until it stops
three drink lots of water, and you won't have nose bleeds.
four in the heat it is good to drink lots and lots of water because being dehydrated was a bad thing, if you want your nose to stop bleeding then, drink lots of water, plenty of fluids. I hope this helps if it doesnt talk to your dr.
