That sounds like too much. Some cats are naturally slim just like some people are, but parasites can also cause cats to eat lots and not gain weight. Check the box for what looks like brown or white rice (tapeworms). Should you notice any take her to the vet. It can be treated with a simple pill. Also pay attention to how she acts. Cats have very subtle ways of letting us know they don't feel well. Is she grooming more than usual? In certain areas more (like her hindquarters)? Is she going to the bathroom a lot more or a lot less than usual? Have her bowel movements changed drastically (different colors or runny)? Is she suddenly wanted to be right next to you if she's usually a loner, or spending more time alone if she's normally cuddly? Keep an eye on these things for changes and don't hesitate to call the vet if you're concerned. If she's presenting no other symptoms, continue feeding her as normal, or try weaning her off of so much canned food. Chat with the vet the next time she's in for a check up and ask for his or her recommendations. Good luck!

I think a cat should have breakfast, lunch, dinner, and little (REALLY little) snacks inbetween. So I wouldn't think so, I mean an adult cat, I think, should eat about two cans during feeding time, so then that would be six cans a day. So I thinking maybe you're not overfeeding her, but it depends on how much dry food you give her I think not, but to be on the safe side maybe give her 1 whole can of moist cat fod and 1 half of moist cat food during feeding time and dry food as a little snack between feeding times. If she's getting a bit chubbier, instead of it being 1 whole can of moist cat food make that 1 whole can of diet, moist cat food, but you can still feed her 1 half can of moist cat food and maybe half diet and half normal dry cat food, but still make it small. Hopefully your cat will stay as slender and active as she is now.

YES YES YES that is way too much.... I have a tom cat, And he weighs about 18 pounds. He eats 1 pouch of food a day and I leave his dry food out.... About two cups. he eats about 1 cup of dry food a day. A cat's stomach is about the size of an egg, so you do the math... Cat food is very fatty, he may develope diabetes if you are not careful... he may have worms, or he may be missing something from his diet... I would give him a can of the morning, hard food during the day and a can of food of the evening. And cut back from there as needed.... But that is way too much

That does seem like alot of food. But you say shes not overweight at all. I really would try to cut back a little on the canned food. But continue to leave dry down at all times for her eat as she wants. For a adult cat 3 cans a day should be plenty. If she continues to eat this much she will become overweight. Its best to stop over feeding before she becomes overweight, Its hard to get a cat to lose weight .Overweight cats have many health problems.

That depends on your cats current weight and size. You should take her to your local verterinarian to find out specifically how much she should be eating a day. Over-feeding can cause kidney and urinary tract problems. You shouldn't let her outside either. The risk of infection from the mice or lizards is very high, not to mention, there is no vaccination for feline Aids...only feline Leukemia. I have four wonderful cats as part of my family, one being a stray Aids kitty we found and wanted to keep when no one else would take him. He has his own separate part of the house and is happy and loved, but there is not a day that goes by that I don't wish and pray that his disease would just magically go away. He suffers from open wounds on his back from time to time, vomiting, uneven pupils and dizziness, fatigue, and diahrrea to name just a few symptoms of this horrible disease. If you don't want to risk your cat getting this disease, keep her inside, please.

You are definitely over feeding her. Too much canned food will get her so she doesnt eat much of her hard food, then her breath will smell because of tartar build-up, because its the hard food & snacks that keep their teeth clean. I have 4 indoor cats, and between them all, I go through one to 1-1/2 can a day. But, their hard food is down for them to munch on all the time. And of course fresh cold water.
Is your cat spayed?? If not, get her spayed and then watch her fill out nicely. Spaying helps cats live longer healthier lives.

To eat that much is not normal. The fact that she remains slender indicates there might be an underlying physical problem, such as worms or other parasites. Take her to the vet and have her checked out. Worms are pretty common for cats that go in and out.

That sounds like a lot. But, if you are asking the opinion of others and questioning your feeding habits, you probably already know that it's a lot of food for a cat.
Read the feeding instructions on the cat food and go by what it reccommends.

that is way too much food, also canned food is not that nutrious for them...perhaps you should try purina one dry food it is much better for them and use the canned food as a treat once in awhile. also the purina one is made of natural ingredients as well as chicken and/or turkey. it is worth the money to pay a little extra to make sure your cat is eating good. i have a skinny cat however im sure since she eats well she is just slender.
