The Naked Mole Rat Letters was a good book. It may be a little bit below your level, but not too far. It's an enjoyable read. I forget who the author is. You can find it on scholastic. Also, although it may be a lower reading level, anything by Katherine Paterson is good. She writes very well about life. Usually the books make me cry, but not in a bad way. I especially would recommend Bridge to Terabithia, The Great Gilly Hopkins, and The Same Stuff as Stars.

Story books? I'm not sure what you mean. It sounds like you're talking about Red ridding hood or the three pigs. At 14 I hope you're reading the same stuff I'm reading. Books.
Try some Dean Koontz.

I liked a Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle. However, you might be a few years too old for the book. Check it out and see. I don't remember when I first read it. I also liked Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Colin I was 14 when i first read "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens. I couldn't put it down. You'll love it. Or perhaps try Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, or perhaps Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
