To get away from New York... hmm there are some great bed and breakfasts in New Canaan CT. I think there pricey...but I went into one and it was adorable! Traditional New England styles and the best smells coming from the kitchen! To bad I didn't get to try anything... google them they come up

Though it's about 50 min from Manhatten
