How much local currency can I take into Sri Lanka from UK. Should I take Sterling or travellers cheques?

Everything costs buttons. You won't need much. Take some trav cheques.

I would take 1/4 in cash and the rest travellers cheques just incase something happens, ya never know

Very little currency the rest a bank debit card you can use in an ATM.
