There's a church in Kentucky where the preacher said that God blew up the space shuttle because we're allowing gay marriage. Is the heatwave in the US being caused by God being angry at us too?

You can really get in trouble for saying things like that if you're a nationally-known preacher. (Look at Jerry Falwell claiming that 9/11 was God's punishment for some Americans' tolerance of homosexuals.) But it's no different than the Ancient Greeks thinking that lightning was the result of Zeus being angry. You can make connections like that all you want, but it's all BS. Heat waves, hurricanes, tornadoes: It's just the weather, nothing supernaturally-controlled.

You can't explain bad things happening by saying God is angry. Bad things happen all the time, to good people and to bad people. Furthermore, plenty of evil, evil people live very well without bad things ever happening to them. If there's one thing God ought to be, it's consistent. So I wouldn't go saying "God sometimes when He feels like it maybe will punish someone in the world for someone else's bad act."

It's because of contamination in the ozone, GOD doesn't exist it's for scientific reasons. Coz if you think about it they contradict each other. There are scientific explinations of dinosaurs and stuff like that but none of Adam and Eve or Noahs Ark..etc.. That's unless you just believe that god is the universe.. thats wat i believe in.

The heat wave is caused coz of contamination and that makes it harder for the sun rays to bounce back off the earth so they stay inside and make it hotter.

I think anyone who says things like that is out of line. Nobody can know these things.

That is the consulting of such people is forbidden in the bible. Many people who claim to know such things (especially here in the west) are lying and trying to use people or just want money.

Your priest should stich to the rules of the religion (and the bible) and leave these subjects alone.

The world is built around the concept of balance. If we are idiotic enough to ignore scientific theories such as global warming or evolution, and continue with our reckless disregard for the environment and animal and human lives, nature will kill us all.
It's as simple as that. And the clock is ticking....

Once again: Science > religious bigotry

no, the heatwave is not gods doing. It is natures doing with a lot of help from us the human beings, not really considering what we are doing.

Wow...pulling you back into the 21st century!

The heat is natures way of telling us we have got to stop cutting down trees, gutting the earth of its resources and populating the world to the point that today 18,000 children will die of starvation.

Google "global warming", "population control", "earth friendly products", "weather history" and the word "dogma".

No. The heat wave is nature telling humans it's not nice to release CO2 into the atmosphere.
