There is a reference in the Bible to all things we love (probably meaning love with all our heart - not trivial things) being in Heaven. I think that may mean your loved animals can go - but they don't have souls.

I had to put my best friend down 2 weeks ago because of bladder cancer. The only thing getting me through this is believing she's in heaven. Someone told me yesterday that when they go to church (protestant) the minister always tells them that animals do go to heaven. The minister says that anything that could give you love, like a dog, has a soul and will definitely be in heaven waiting for you. I only hope so! (By the way, I am Catholic)

I have often wondered the same thing myself....And as a christian, I have to say No, I don't believe they do. In the book of Genesis, God talks about all his creations. And all other living things were made to serve God but one...And that is the Human race. Even the tree which surround us are living things just as you and I a cat or dog. But do trees go to heaven? No... I Know God knows our love for our pets, but I truely do not believe Our pets will be going to heaven. But One Never truely Knows until it is our time...And If i am wrong, then, I will be glad to see my animals when I get there.... God Bless

There is a nice poem about the Rainbow Bridge, it is a beautiful place where beloved pets go and play and frolic in happiness. They wait there for their owners, until they pass away. Then you go into heaven together. I don't think this is biblical, but it sure is a nice idea.
I just hope the pet owner doesn't go to the "bad place", or the little pets would be waiting an awful long time :)

Gosh, I hope so. How can any animal who has emotions and dreams not go? I know the Bible does not specifically mention it, but surely a compassionate, benevolent God would allow such noble creatures in as part of His Heaven. I believe He put dogs and similar creatures here to supplement and balance Man's life on earth and we will be judged according to how we treat these animals, in addition to everything else we will be judged for. I really pray God includes a dog's perspective when judging us.

I can't imagine our Good Father in Heaven not allowing us the happiness of being reunited with our animals that we loved so much here on earth. And more than that, give us the opportunity to love the animals that have been abused on this earth by satan led abusers.

Through my study of the Bible I believe that they will be in heaven. I don't have it on there yet but watch my website because I will have a proper study on there explaining the details. Until then I have all of the different Rainbow Bridge poems up. Just go to http://www.savepuppies.8k.com/about.html and scroll down. I'm so sorry for your loss, I look forward in the full and certain hope that we will see all of our lost loves again never to be torn apart.
