I think it's great that you are already planning ahead to care for these boys.. it shows that you are taking this jobseriously and being responsible.. kudos to you for being mature.. I am sure those boys have tons of games at their house they love to play with.. trust me they will let u know or ask you over and over to play the things they like to play with..

I babysat for almost 5 to 6 years and I babysat for girls and boys of all ages. The best thing to do with boys is play plenty of active games. I used to try follow the leader, hide and seek (if they aren't too young!) ((3 or 4 might be too young)), safe game of pillow fight, backyard running around, or cars. Boys do like to be active and this one 4 year old I babysat for was so easy. He had a 2 year old sister who was easy also! We would go smoothly from one game to the next. Try to make everything a learning experience. I used to ask periodically, " RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU LIKE _-----" and they would raise their hand or whatever. No matter if it was food, an activity, or a certain item. Or since it's just little kids break into a fun song of Hokey-Pokey ?? If they don't do it with you at least it will give them a good laugh ( and some entertainment) The next few times you can Teach THEM how to do it. Also see who can bounce in one place the longest? If you are tired after all the activity try popping in an education video and ask them questions afterwards. If the kids learn something while you are there the parents will appreciate your time a whole lot more! (trust me!)
I have baby sat for over 20 different family's without ANY advertising, it just went through word of mouth!

Good LUck!

I answered a similer question a few days ago and won best answer. [she did this and the kids loved it] Take the kids to the park, they will burn alot of energy. They will have a lot of fun playing with the other kids that it will be easy for you to watch them[because they will not be getting into things.] If you have the kids all day pack a lunch and eat at the park [because if not they will probably throw a fit if they have to go home and eat] eating at the park is also an advantage because they might get hungery at different times. The park is a great idea because with the kids being different ages playing a game is alomst impossible because they have different intelligent leavels.

Cartoons work miracles. It could keep them sitting on a couch for ours. So can board games and video games and try to choose the one that they like most. That will give you time to do a few extra things. When they get bored switch to something different, creative and takes physical energy. Kinda like pretending the carpet is hot lava or bycicle riding. That was always fun for me eventually they're gonna get tired and wanna take a nap.

Besides the confusion about the # of kids you'll be watching- they're kids. They'll have a lot of toys and you're a new person to play with. They'll enjoy running around, being picked up, coloring, pretend games... They're little boys and they'll have a lot of energy. I'm sure you won't have any problems coming up with things to do once you get there. Have fun!

I babysit for a 7 yr old boy, so far he really likes to turn the sprinkler on the trampoline and jump,, or video games, he also loves to make the cat new cat toys out of strings or balls? He and my girls also did a story time the other day where they took a piece of paper and started to draw a picture and started a story then passed it on to the next person who told a little more of the story and drew a little bit, and so on and so on,, it was pretty cool.

Books you can read to them and get them to make the noises (e.g. Thomas the Tank Engine or Old MacDonald). You have to get something right for their ages though.

Twister!

Chinese Whispers

Snap (card game)

Fish (card game)

Church Mice (they have to sit with finger on lips and the one who speaks first loses)

"My Granny went to the supermarket and she bought...." each child takes it in turn and says everything that the person before them did and then adds something.

Memory (you make up a tray with stuff on it and let them look at the tray (or inside the bag or box) for 30 seconds. Take the tray/bag/box away and they have to remember what was on / in it.

Hide and don't seek (they hide but you don't look for them)

Well boys generally like to wrestle alot, but you might get tired of that some video games might be nice. So if you have a video game I would take that with me.
