Fight, ( means to keep your ground and defend)
Flight ( means to run away, from a danger)
Fear causes this reaction, but it can have other reactions also.
Freezing (does not mean you are cold, you are so terrorized, your body is paralysed, you do not know what to do, you are confused, you do not know how to react.)
Hyperventilate ( can bring on asthma, or other respiratory reaction, shortness of breath, your body is preparing for a fight or flight situation, and requires more oxygen, but cannot get enough (
Stomach problems, ( gastrointestinal cramping, all your intestinal muscles squeeze, cramping, making you feel you have to go to the bathroom really bad)

Adrenaline (also known as epinephrine) is a hormone released by the adrenal glands in reaction to stress. It helps prepare the body for 'flight or fight. It can increase the release of glucose from the liver causing hyperglycemia. It can also raise blood pressure.
When you are stressed, adrenalin (epinephrine), the emergency hormone, is released by the adrenal glands and this causes a cascade of metabolic reactions, including the release of cortisol and glucagon, also called counterregulatory hormones, because they increase blood glucose levels from the breakdown of glycogen, a form of glucose stored in muscles and liver.

Fight = confronting your fears, standing up to someone who taunts you or intimidates you. etc.
Flight = not confronting but instead running to your car (or at least walking quickly), shrinking from the presence of someone who intimidates you and letting them walk all over you.
Just an example there are more including in the animal kingdom...for example, an elk will run from a lion (flight) so it doesn't get killed hopefully. A lion will stand up (fight) to a bear because it believes it can overtake him regardless of size and until it is proven otherwise.

Fight or flight is the one and only reaction animals of all species have to fear. Which you respond to depends on things like experience, whether an avenue of escape exists, etc.

its when you become frightened of something and adrenalin flows through the blood from the adrenal gland exciting your muscles to use up as much energy as possible resulting in a fight (defense) or flight (flee)
For example when chased by a dog
