The All American Alley Cat....which is the only cat I've ever owned....except for the one who had 6 toes....I think he may have been some kind of breed somehow. But my alley cat is SMART. Yes, he can open the door when he wants to go out....I just wish he would SHUT the door....he's as bad as the kids! The difference between my cat and yours apparently is YOURS comes when called....mine comes when he wants to. How'd you get yours to do that?

My cat is a gray tabby and I think he has some bongel in him.Yes make cat can do all that. Sometimes when I call him when he's outside and wait a few seconds, I will hear him meowing an then he will come out of the woods. Sometimes he only looks at me and goes back to what he was doing. He only will go in the cuboard when he smells cat food in eat. He's also one of fastest cats I know. My favorite breed is the Turkish Van, Ragdoll, and Bongel.

I've only recently become a cat owner and loving itl. I'm hoping other answers will include breeds. I don't know many at all other than Cheshire?!? Both of ours are indoor cats, only one comes when called. The other is a snob.

Now that would definitely be the Chartreux (aka the smiling cat). As for the doors - he is trying to open them, but using his nails in order to make them move somehow. It still didn't come to him to try and do something with the knob! ;-)
But when I call him - he comes running like crazy saying his loud "maaaaa??"
One more of his special tricks: he knows I keep fresh meat for him as a treat - no matter where I put it, he will find it and eat it!

I have a tuxedo colored cat that stands on her hind legs and presses my door latch with her outstretched front paws to get the door open. She also can open this other door in my house by simply throwing her weight into it to knock it open. Damn smart cat!
