For me, it's the love of God. The lure of heaven is just the bonus for a relationship with Him.

Neither actually. Just the innate need to connect to something bigger and beyond our human self. That was the first prompt then the lure of heaven then the love of God.

It is the faith, that all mankind is meant for more than just being born, getting a career, have a family and dying years later. I is the promise God made to those who love and fear him by keeping his commandants.

The main point is based on what the bible says about being rewarded or punished in the next life----I don't want to spend eternity in hell!!!

I would sooner live my life Believing there is a God and die and find out there is not....;than to live my life as if there is NO GOD and then die and find out there was....you do the math
