It is just a figment of your imagination. Now you know. Sleep well.

Don H - why would you want to awaken others to the truth?

Sounds to me like you are finally starting to wake up to what is actually going on here. Welcome, we have been waiting a long a long time for you to join us.

Did you have a pleasant sleep or was yours filled with scary dreams about judgmental, punishing Gods and other frightening nonsense.

Oh well I guess it doesn’t really matter at all now that your awake does it. Don’t question what you are thinking for too long, or look back too often it will only confuse the truth that you have finally recognized and try to pull you back into the dream.

If you are starting to see this clearly on your own you are probably ready for a graduate course in your true reality.

I suggest that you get a book called the course in miracles. It somewhat exhaustively explains many of the ideas you are talking about in great detail.

It’s well worth the little effort it takes.

Don’t wait too long, we need your help if we are ever going to awaken the others to the truth of who they are.

Love and blessings.

Your brother
don

You can't "know" anything. Sensation is sometimes true; it is sometimes not. regardless, sensation must pass to the next stage, perception. Perception is always flawed just by the fact of it's a judgment based on previously conceived ideas of subjects you believe are related to your current sensory stimulation. Very precarious situation in which to be to base life and death decisions upon.

Roll the dice. Play the hand. Some of it's skill. some of it's luck.........

"If you believe this is reality, then the mechanism is functioning properly "

That has been the concern with reality.

Like the Matrix, we can only determine who and what we are by exteral stimulus.

So are we what we are?

A good movie that ponders this very question is "Dark Star", where an astronaut has to convince a bomb not to explode using phenomenology.

(Phenomenology is an approach to philosophy that begins with an exploration of phenomena [what presents itself to us in conscious experience] as a means to finally grasp the absolute, logical, ontological and metaphysical Spirit that is behind phenomena. This has been called a "dialectical phenomenology".)

You know the whole world is not a figment of your imagination because you live life everyday. If your foot got cut off would you find that imaginary?

This arguement is the basis for the allegory of the cave theory. Basically its the same premise the movie 'The Matrix' was based around. If all you can see is one thing, but behind you you can't see the actual reality and those making you see what you see.. then what you see is real to you but not necessarily true to the actual world.

You wouldn't have known, if it were a "hole"! ... What difference does it make who you happen to be, or even if this (w)hole thing is Real or Not, it's all a crack in the rat's behind without MEANING. Your quest is ultimately one of Meaning, that is as long as you are wondering and not back to the "essent (i.e. things that are AND/OR not)" that made you wonder in the first place. ...But please, whatever you end up doing or believing, and in whichever reality or NOT, don't you be going religious on us now. :-)

we are supposed to live a life of balance with one foot in the spirit and one foot in the world. knowing the difference between the two is the key.

god is unchanging , constant and forever. spirit is of god and is the voice for god. this is reality

the world is a temporary 'tool' used to occommodate man in his quest to reach god. the world is everchanging, unstable and of the ego. being temporary, it is meaningless, thus a fantasy.

man was given free will to choose between the voice for god or the voice of the ego

the spirit directs us to love, forgive, be kind, gentle, patient...ect. all the truths of god

the ego directs us to be frightened,selfish,ungrateful...ect. all the fantasies of the world

yes, you are right, it is in your head to decide how to 'entertain' yourself, be it with fantasy or reality. we have been given free-will to choose which voice to listen to

personally, i choose the voice for god and if i make a mistake and listen to the ego...i'm thankful to know that i can always choose again

peace to you

I know that Alice fell into a hole in "Alice in Wonderland" and it was all just a fantasy.
