I have problems with frizziness too. This is my hair regimen to get rid of it! (If you look at my avatar….you’ll see that it really does work!!). Good luck! =)
1. Choose a shampoo or conditioner by looking for the words smoothing, moisturizing or hydrating on the front of the bottle (I use Pantene Pro-V for dry and damaged hair).
2. After washing, towel dry and apply a smoothing or frizz serum (I like John Frieda’s Frizz Ease…found at most drug stores).
3. Let hair hang dry until it is almost fully dry. When almost dry, finish drying with a blow dryer while using a round boar-bristle brush (work with small areas at a time – do not let your hair blow all over the place, otherwise it will just become more unruly).
4. Make sure your hair is completely dry. If there is anymore moisture left it will become frizzy.
5. By using a 1-1/2 inch (or larger) curling iron or a flat iron, you can smooth out any left over frizz.
6. You can also apply a hair wax (like Bumble and Bumble Styling Wax) or pomade (like Got2B Defiant Define Plus Shine Pomade) now.
7. Finish off by using a flexible hair spray (like Finesse’s Touchable hair spray).
* Get your ends trimmed up at least every 6 weeks.

It's a funny quirk in life, that if you have curly hair you hate it, and if you have straight hair you will spend a small fortune having perms and/or color put into it. So, even though you may not like it now, be thankful that you will not spend the rest of your life at a salon having it curled...
Like you, my hair has a mind of it's own, and the best thing that I've found is the conditioning products by Aussie. You've probably seen the commercials with the kangaroo. They all come in purple and white bottles. I use the 3-minute miracle about once a month, and the conditioning shampoo all the time.
After drying my hair with a towel, I put gel into it, and either comb it, or kinda fluff it. Then after the gel dries, remember to fluff it again, or it will look like plastic. Never use a blow dryer, cause that will just make it dryer, and more unmanageable. I wouldn't recommend using anything to lighten you hair either, again this causes drying. If you are going to be outside in the direct sun, I would wear a hat to keep the sun from drying it out. I hope this helps... Good Luck

Besides a quality shampoo and conditioner the only product I have found to tame my mane is LA Looks #9 "Party Hard" (pink) hair gel. I live in a very humid climate and keeping the locks under control is a hassle. I have tried most all the other products out there but because I have really tough hair the other products don't seem to provide enough hold and I end up with a frizzy mess. Another tip that works for me is don't wash your hair everyday (if you can help it) With corse curly hair it can cause serious breakage and more frizzy fly aways! Good Luck, with the right product and care your hair will probably be the envy of most women! :)

Choose a hair stylist experienced in curly/dry hair.
Have your hair stylist help you choose a hairstyle that is easy to maintain--preferably one that just requires a wet-and-go approach.
Once you have your favored style, visit your stylist at least 4 times a year to trim split ends.
Don't let your hair stylist use a razor to layer your hair (although layering is good.) Razors contribute to split ends.
Don't wash hair every day. This kind of hair needs the natural oils from your scalp to reduce frizz.
To upkeep your desired style, just wet hair with some conditioner on non-washing days (rinse thoroughly).
Avoid using hairdryers unless necessary. Blowdrying hair dries it out. If you must use a hair dryer than make sure you use a diffuser.
Believe it or not, grease, mousses and gels make caring for this kind of hair harder!! Chemical build-ups require more washing than is healthy.
If you must use products, use high-quality, health-food store or salon products that leave little residue.
Do not brush, unless you want a 'fro.
Love your hair! Many are envious of the regal quality of curly hair!
Hope this helps~

use a good conditioner every other time you shampoo and don't touch after you style it. a lot of tiems the more you touch your hair after you style it, the frizzier it gets. i use a product called Loreal Pumpin' Curls. when i get done washing i spray that all over y hair and then spray a little hair spray on the back. then flip and dry. and you can use the pumpin' curls during the day when your hair is dry to freshen up your curls and control stubborn frizz. oh and pony tails are the worst for making frizz!

Try The Body Shops, Define & No Frizz with brazil nut oil to help moisturise and define or they have a brazil nut moisture mask for hair that is dry and chemically treated. Wonderful stuff!!

Her hair is prettier, because she trims off the split ends. What is she thinking of? Is she trying to create a situation in which her son will be rejected as an odd ball by all the other kids? I'm sure he is a nice kid, but kids are so cruel.
