Beef Tips and Gravy
Our family favorite. Quick and easy...
2 lbs beef stew meat or round steaks or chuck roast, cut into cubes 3 tb vegetable oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cups water
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Gravy
1 (3/4 ounce) package brown gravy mix
1 cup water
4 servings

1. In a Dutch oven, heat oil over medium heat.
2. Saute onions until soft.
3. Add beef cubes and sauté, stirring often, until meat is browned on all sides.
4. Add 2 cups water, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper to beef.
5. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
6. To make gravy: combine gravy mix package with 1 cup water.
7. Mix thoroughly and stir into meat mixture.
8. Simmer, stirring frequently until slightly thickened.
9. Serve over cooked rice, egg noodles, or mashed potatoes.
10. Serves 4

Put the beef tips in a crockpot or roasting pan with a little bit of water and a handful of chopped onion. When roasting I set temperature at 400 and brown on all sides then turn oven down to 250 for about 2-21/2 hours. Add cream of mushroom soup to sauce in the pot or thicken with flour mixed with canned cream.
Season with salt and pepper.

Make sure you buy the beef from a legal source. Too many people today use illegal beef.
