it all depends on their job and and where they are at. A finance clerk in Baghdad is going to have access to a computer more often than an infantryman fighting in fallujah. Also, you have to take into consideration the waiting line to use one as most are set up at these little MWR tents/building where you wait 4 hours to use one. I could never stand to wait so I never bothered with it.

Soldiers can have internet now in there pods but they would have to have a laptop with them. If they didnt it does depend on the job and how much spare time they have.Example my husband trys to make it to company once a week to get on messenger to see us and the kids but if he has worked 24 hours with no sleep like some do then he might not make it.It is easier to access ako there than anything else because most computers in the offices restrict your sights to military only.

It depends on the soldiers job and where they are stationed.

Some soldiers have regular access as part of their job, others have to use the internet cafe. And depending on where you are the internet cafe may require reservations a day in advance for a 1/2 hour time slot, or you may get unlimited time because there are more than enough systems.

During my tour myself and 14 other people went in on a shared satellite internet connection giving us our own private internet access. (Of course a month later I was transferred to another FOB.)

When the war began communication was a major problem. Now, it's very simple. I would say he or she could have access if they wanted it, on their own time of course. There are places like internet cafes where they can purchase time on the computers. Some even have their own laptops over there now.

It depends on if they are out doing missions n stuff like that or if their job just requires them to stay on the post. My husband is able to get on every cpl of days, The lines may be long though.
