If I were you I would politely tell him at the being of the date that I smoke. If he did not like it then you will respect his view of it but you still smoke so tell him you will have to go to the side away to catch a few puffs. Let him know that you respect him by not smokeing around him.

Don't ask him if he minds if you smoke, directly. Find out if he hates it or is cool with it in a nonchalant way. If he says he's cool with people smoking, then you should tell him that you do. If he hates it, then you just have to decide between him or the cigarettes because he's not gonna hang around. Some people probably said to you, "If you're not willing to give up your cigarettes, then he must not be that important to you." Well, I kind of agree with that, but I think that you shouldn't give up something you really like, that makes you feel satisfied, and spent years doing just for a guy whom you've known for a little while, no matter how hot he is =). Why should you change your lifestyle for someone you don't really know. If he's not willing to respect you and your cigarettes, then he must not like you that much. But then again, if he really cared about you, he would want you to quit smoking so you wouldn't get cancer, but that doesn't apply to you now because you two are just starting out. Hopefully he really likes you and is willing to tolerate you smoking, and hopefully in the future, you will quit smoking so you don't get cancer, then both of you will be happy.

Well I have only dated one guy that didn't smoke. He didn't mind, he just didn't want me to smoke in his vehicle. Which was fine by me. If he can't accept that you are a smoker because of the smell and what not, toss him. It's not like you can't walk away, get your nic fix, pop a mint, spray some perfume, and come back. If it's because he cares about your health, well that's sweet. So explain to him that your just not ready to quit. But mostly, if you've known this guy for a bit, hasn't he ever seen you smoke? If not, definately bring it up to him. It's better to get it out of the way in the beginning.

I would mention it to him, or bring up the conversation of smoking and see where he stands with it. I'm pretty sure he has smelled it on you, but just in case, use a breath mint, spray some perfume, and find out where he stands with the smoking thing and then go from there.

When you need to smoke asks him if he minds that you smoke. Hopefully, he'll be ok with it because you should have both him and your cigarettes.

If you smoke, it should not be a secret because if the relationship ends up being long-term, he's going to find out anyway. If you smoke and it bothers him, try not to do it in an enclosed place (such as a car, small room, etc) as a matter of courtesy.

i ought to assert do not even carry it up. reckoning on what state you're in, possibilities are severe you won't be able to smoke at dinner or at a bar anyhow. in case you experience the favor to eliminate darkness from, purely excuse your self or get some gum. If he's the guy you're making him out to be, your communique or chemistry might want to be sufficient that you infrequently imagine about smoking.

if you have been flirting with him for a while now, he probably knows you smoke. yes, bring up the issue, because why prolong the agony? if he's not ok with it, move on. if you really don't want to lose him and he is against smoking, quit. choose what you want most.

Try to abstainor minimize from it when you're together just for a little while. Talk to him about smoking and how he feels about it and then tell him how you feel about it too. In one word it's communication.
