It takes 408 gallons of water to produce a serving of chicken
the same serving of beef is 2500 gallons of water
Pork 3000 gallons of water
The same amount of protein in beans 25 gallons of water.
So why do they continue to make us eat dead animals that deplete our resources of water?

The USA has already depleted their water resources. So if the USA all became veggies, we in Canada could stop supplying fresh water to them. We export 24% of our water to them.

umm... water is the greatest renewable resource, you cant deplete it. even when we drink it, we expel the "waste" which is actually cleaner than before and it eventually either evaporates or gets to the ocean or is soaked into the ground as ground water. thinking you can dplete a resource like water is a naive idea. the water cycle keeps water moving, so you can't deplete it. and also, no one is forcing you to eat meat products, believe it or not the human body is designed for the consumption of meat. we are omnivores, not herbavores. if we were we would only have morals, not incisors or canines.
edit* its also not dead rotting flesh, its what your meant to eat

I don't think anybody 'makes' anybody else eat meat. Mostly people like the taste and also regard meat as a high status food.
The meat industry - especially beef production - has a huge impact on water usage, but trying to regulate water mismanagement by persuading people to turn vegan is like trying to solve world poverty by persuading people to spend less on cosmetics. Your approach is too indirect, and too error-prone, to even convince people - let alone have an impact.
If your main concern is water mismanagement look at more straightforward issues (surface run-off contamination by aggressive pesticides, the insanity of flushing our toilets with several gallons of drinking water).
If your main concern is with spreading veganism - good luck.

Okay why are you using my oxygen? who cares about stinking water. We will find another way to clean it anyway! Get a life! So how many gallons of water does it take to water the damn plants you eat? How many gallons of water does it take to wash and cook the damn greens you eat? DO YOU HAVE ANSWERS TO THAT?

Who makes YOU eat dead animals???
If it makes you feel better about saving water...eat them alive.
By the way...do your research first...both your water usage rates and your protein equivalency ratings are off....both globally and locally. You're quoting from a vegian political agenda...not an factual referal source.

I'm a vegetarian and I fully support your intentions, but I'm rather doubtful about the quality of your data. Sources please!
