For pure entertainment, to act merely stupid or just both? Only real answers please- thank you! And I'm not trying to be disrespectful myself... I'm quite curious really...

I put non-religious SLASH (/) disrespectful! Geez! Not saying only the non-religious are being the only bad ones with brainless answers... it just so happens that the ones who give rude answers or ask rude questions are, in obvious ways, non-religious.

As a non-religious person, I imagine that they're quite frustrated by the pressure of people and society to believe in things they just can't. It makes them feel good to tear down others because it justifies their disbelief.

I don't think you're being specific enough. Personally, as a skeptic I give questions the answers they call for. Of course there are a lot of disrespectful people on this site and clearly this is a form of entertainment for them. There's not to be done about that.
On the other hand, the fact is a large percentage of what passes for "questions" are either statements of faith, or statements of dismay about other's beliefs (or non-beliefs). Adding a question mark at the end doesn't change the nature of the statement. Proselytizing can be offensive and violates the spirit of a Q&A forum’s purpose.
There are also disparate levels of sophistication with respect to what gets discussed. This can be irritating. Imagine a religious person who has taken elementary courses in biology. Now suppose he/she encounters the 1,678th question with the embedded text: "If we evolved from monkeys, how come there are still monkeys?" How can one not point out that a bit more education is called for, or that biology is properly a subject of the science section? Is this seen as an insult?

and religious people don't do this? I am sorry that you think that this has something to do with religion and the belief in god that makes a person be mean and nasty, it isn't, I try to offer a good answer if I can, sometimes admittedly I just want 2 points but I normally don't go out of my way to hurt anyone, I see people being dumb and using foul language and I usually report them, anyways a lot of times if I see a really stupid question I say the wrong things and I will admit it, I don't do it to be mean and nasty and try and make myself feel better I do it because I am guessing a lot of times it is just someone else being ignorant because they think it is funny so I offer my sarcasm and ignorance back, anyways I hope I answered your question

There are plenty of nonreligious people on here who ask intelligent questions and give intelligent answers. But you're right there are a lot of religious and nonreligious people who get some sort of satisfaction out of those kinds of responses. I think that's all they know how to do, they can't give a real answer.

They are crying out for attention. Pray for people like that. They are coming in religious section because they are lost and subconsciously trying to find their way. In a sense they are being fed by the word of God with each scripture posted.

Immaturity come first to me.
I think GOOD questions are stimulating but profane and sarcastic remarks show the persons emotional IQ

thats a good question. obviosly they feel lost and unhappy but are trying to justify it by freaking out on "religious types" and trying to make the lifestyle or lack thereof seem better than it really is.

They are agents of Satan trying to disrupt the flow of information about God and his Son Jesus getting to those who are asking reasonable questions.
