I have at present many SVQ certificates(units and elements) and I am wondering if I am able to convert them to the equivalent in NVQ.

They are exactly the same thing. SVQ is the Scottish equivilant to an NVQ. Employers should know this so you shouldn't have to much of a problem

In the first instance you would have to write to the lead body in this case the Scottish Qualifications Body and ask if it possible. I am sure that they can be transferred. I do not see that it makes any difference as many of the SVQ'S do have the same elements as an NVQ.

Good luck!

SVQ and NVQ are exactly the same thing - like the SCSE and GCSEs are - so you don't have to bother converting them, they cover the same things

erase the S on the certificate, get a typewriter and type an N on it lol!!

seriously though try contacting the examining board who may be able to give you some more information.
