Can't compare nor generalise. You have a different relatonship with both and have to maintain your balance to deal with them. They are unique and good in their own roles.
Your mom did all that was required to make you a fine adult just to lose you to another person. Just think of that!!! The lover comes in and does not tolerate your mom. How sad. And you are confused as to who is better!!!! Where is your sense of justice and gratitude? Grow up!!! You must spend some time with your mom so that she does not feel deserted.
Your lover gives you all that your adulthood needs. She sort of takes over from your mom and provides all that only she can. Your mom does not let go of you and keeps bossing around??!!! Use tact to let her know that you love her but now need to spend time with your lover.
Be sensitive to both and have a nice relationship. They don't compete with each other but they both miss you.

dear sanjay!my answer is that mother is best becoaz she give you birth and make you able to understand other or she make you able to understand the love.so at the end every sight that mother is the best rather then lover
