its not about power its about the physics of the vehicle. The reason why your car does a 180 is because you cause the rear tires to slip, so if you want to do more than 180 degrees then the new rear tires (actually now being the front wheels of the car) need to slip as well. what you can do in a low gear is floor the gas and it should cause the tires to break loose. So if your car is spinning like if you were turning to the left, (counter clockwise if looking from above) when you get close to the 180 point, you have two options: 1) need to turn quickly to the right, shift to reverse and floor the gas, this one works if its stick shift, 2) you keep to the left but just floor the gas in a low gear, this one might be less things to do but might be harder to do. The more slick the road is the easier this will be. for either case you want to make sure that the parking brake is disengaged by the time you reach the 180 degree mark! Be safe when you try any stunts!

Power doesn't matter so much as technique. And in the golf you have a heavy(ish) car and this works in your favour. You get to the 180 easily, once there, keep the wheel on full lock and let go of the handbrake. The front wheels (now at the back of the direction of travel) should allow you to make the 360.

Instead of following what they did in movies, maybe you should understand how a car works, and how weight shifts in a car, then trying to make a 360 degree turn would be a little less difficult. If you're trying to be like tokyo drift, your car is frontwheel drive so you can't drift, only powerslide. Whether you're going to try this again or not, go do this somewhere safe, and make sure there aren't any pedestrians around when you are doing it.

You need to increase speed in order to propel the car into a full spin. Try finding an empty parking lot that will allow you to get up to 45 mph or greater. Just make sure it's not to fast to turn over the car instead of just turning you around.

You need to put the accelerator completely to the floor and shift into neutral at the same time while you pull the parking brake. Let us know how it turns out.
