The spirit has no limitations. Physicality is not reality. Let use this opportunity to share a poem that I wrote.
Take me away from this reality.
Take me away from this physicality.
Listen to my prayer song,
the song that have sung for so long.
Fly with me through the nights sky.
Watch the stars as we pass by.
Let our thoughts mesh with each others,
as we emanate glorious colors.
Let God experience our love.
It is like his that reigns down from above.
Take me by the hand,
and together we'll stand.
Let go of all your fears,
let it flow out of your tears.
So, bring me back to reality.
Bring me back to physicality.
Now lets enjoy our life.
You and me, together, as husband and wife.

- the author affirms that:
"mankind has limitations" = false.
He doesn't bring any proofs about this affirmation, and nobody can. These are only charming words. It is his own personal belief, not a universal truth.
- the author wishes the audience/reader to believe that "mankind" has no limitation, without bringing any proof.
- "mankind" already is a limitation in itself. If the author had written "humankind" instead, I would have given more credit to his purpose.
So, in my view, Robert Monroe is limited himself about the way he perceives humankind.
Moreover, he would have a limitless perception of humankind if he had added "on Earth-planet": the awareness we-humans live on a planet remove many mind limits and enlarge perspective.
- I think that the author is intrinsicly sure that he has limitations himself, that he transposes this frustration on others "men", so on "mankind".
I think he wants to persuade himself of the idea that "humankind" has no limitations.
So he states illusions of truth, so that the belief he needs to feel inside sounds like a universal truth.
Then, he tries to get others agreeing with these charming words, and then he feels more comfortable about this wish of no having any limitations inside.
My conclusion: Robert Monroe wasn't very spiritual.

i was shown a very similar quote last night .. and i love this one
to think we have limitations is an illusion because we put upon our self any limitations .. our mind is amazing , given that we only use a small proportion of it brings the big question .... what if we had full access to it all , and who says we cant ( we do ) we put so many limits on our self .. we limit our goals .. we think we are only capable of progressing so far in life .. yet we do not progress because we don't reach for more through our own self doubt
see the goal , reach for the goal , move the goal each time to something bigger and better .. and know that we are capable of anything we set our mind to if the desire and confidence is there

I agree. I think people think mankind is in this little box with no way out, and we can only do whats in that box. Humans are alot stronger than we give credit. I think the sooner all humanity realizes this, the sooner our progress in all aspects of life will move rapidly. When that happens, people will get great ideas on our capabilities and we will discover our true potential.

people believe that being mere mortals, they cannot do anything for the sake of entire world. So they leave this task to God whom they feel is the sole person who can reform the world. Hence they blindly believe that God will do everything for them and so set the so called limitations for the mankind

we put our own barriers up when we face the unknown which stops us from being open and free but then again we use society as a guide for our progress and base judgement from there. there are no illusions if you look at the perspective from which they are cast...

It is a human tendancy of creating boundaries for every thing. It is human's illussion that he keeps a limitations that what is good, what is wrong if he do bad god will punish him, and so human keeps limitations.

My opinion. When man took took the fruit, they acquired all knowledge. God is trying to hold them back. IE Tower of Babel, Atlantis, Mayan Civilization, etc.

We have no idea what we are capable of mostly because we never try!
Read this story! It's awesome! Think about it....
God made us in his image and so we are godlike--but it is a scary thot to us lazy couch potatoes who only use 10% of our brain.
