That when you live in a country which two biggest problems are:

- which country are we gonna attack next?
- how many immigrants can we kick out?

Do you realise what an extremely rich, blessed and beautifully lucky life you actually have?

Do you also realise how arrogant it sounds to the rest of the world to make immigration almost the most important issue in your politics?

Do you also realise how you lose more and more goodwill in the eyes of the rest of the world ?

The word is spelled realize, not realise.
I couldn't be more proud of my country. You see us one-way, I see us another.

...The world has been criticizing us for the past century.. What's new?

...When your 1 of the world's elite, of course you will be criticized! Just like supervisors and CEO's.. they are all insulted too! What's your point?

Immigration is a problem whether anyone else see's it or not! Especially if diseases are reforming back in the country. Not only is that one priority to take care of.. But, the other-- the population control.

If things carry on like they are, the government will have no money, when that happens do you think they will just say no more services? Hell no.. They'll raise taxes, it'll start riots and cause destruction. Civil war here we come?

Talk about 3rd world country.. We'll be a 4th world if we let it get that bad! Then how would the rest of the world feel about that?

The United States uses more than 30% of the worlds resources to conduct business and affairs. No U.S. military? GREAT!! There goes a buncha countries..

Everyone will need help.. the middle east will take over and nuke whomever for their experiements.. and we'll prolly be the first ones invaded! Talk about annialation!!

Along with all the diseases going around, murder, rape, looting out the ***, crime everywhere; chaos!

Immigration matters.. no matter what anyone says!

There is an order.. People that insult are quick to judge! They don't think through completely!

The U.S. will always be criticized.. but then again, if we don't stop immigration issues, the world will wonder where we went!!...Why we're not helping?

People flock to this country all-the-while insulting us.. It makes no sense.. It's not like the world just stopped recently...and ran to the U.S...as you can see we have an immigration problem. Where did it come from? When did it start? The past 30 years or so maybe? The entire time while those same people flew to this country, they are most likely the ones that complained, and probably still are!

And then there are those.. like I mentioned, that still do.. So what? Americans have worse things to worry about than what's printed on the front page in Australia.

Yes,I realize/realise( :-) ) exactly what you mean.We have one of the best places in the world to live and still we complain.I think america has a big case of the greedies...we want to have everything. And what we can't control scares us.America has always assumed it knew best. Why?Because it happens to be one of the richest countries around? What happened to the "land of the free and home of the brave"?What exactly does the statue of liberty stand for anymore?I think this country is so full of itself that we lose sight on what used to be important.Immigration used to be a good thing. And for everyone that says "yeah, legal immigration",well, immigration sure was a whole lot easier a long time ago.If all the illegal immigrants today had the option, they would jump on the boat and sign their names to a book too if they could become legal so easily.

Why don't we start concentrating on our homeless, and our poor? For a country so "rich" we sure do have alot of poverty. And I'm sure that I'm not the only one who knows this. Why do you think all those other countries doubt america? They don't want our help b/c we can't even help our own.

I realize this very much so.

I have posted questions about our, the USA, arrogance several times and the way it will be our own undoing.

I try to tell my fellow Americans that history tends to repeat itself, ie, just 400 years ago Spain was the wealthiest country and look at them now. Our arrogance is going to make us blindsided when we are overpowered. And I am sorry to say but I will be standing here saying, "I told you so, you stupid idiots."

These idiots don't realize that when you are so arrogant it makes others hate and detest you. And the problem is that arrogance makes them not care. They truly believe they do not need the other countries to like them.... fools.............

Soon the day is coming with all this globalization that our country will be starving for industry jobs and the only way for them will be to eliminate the minimum wage etc... Not too much time after that ... after there is no social security and they despise supporting the weak... soon after our economy will so weak that the world will finally decide to get rid of us as the dictator of the world.

Jesus said, "Pride comes before a fall."

Do you realize it is a huge problem and needs some restraints on it? Illegal immigrates take away from poor America! Instead of fighting for "their rights" why don't we fight for our peoples rights! you do not see any other country allowing illegals in and then allowing them to pretty much run the country. So much so that they need to change the NATIONAL language to satisfy illegals. This needs to be stopped they have ZERO rights in America and should be kicked out. UNLESS the become legal which most won't do for some stupid reason. You go to Mexico and try to talk junk there and see if they change things for you because your illegal....RIGHT! Matter of fact try it in any other country besides America and you WILL NOT get away with it. So do these Illegal realize how good they got it? better then some of the "real" Americans that's for sure!

I don't want a rich country. i want a soveriegn country. America can fall into the toilet for all I care, we would still deport all of them. That is what is important. Not money or wealth. The more businesses close and the higher prices get i couldn't be happier to have a soverign country.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

As a LEGAL immigrant, I found these attributes to be appealing. This is why my family and I emigrated here, LEGALLY.

To the third world, where I was born, these attributes sound like paradise. That and the indoor plumbing infrastructure.

Good point well made. I don't know whether you're talking about Britain or the US, but in terms of what you've said the two are interchangable.

Right on!

Peace.
