Too much of anything is bad for you.
Coffee is high in caffeine and you can develop an addiction, the withdrawal of which is characterized by headaches and crankiness. It also stains your teeth. Tea is much, much healthier for you, and the cream and sugar are just about irrelevant. In fact the milk makes your coffee healthier. A lot of adults don't get the milk they need, and it's a good way to get more calcium and such.

Read this, this morning:
Three studies have shown that coffee consumption helps reduce the risk of type II diabetes. In an analysis of more than 17,000 Dutch men and woman, the more coffee a person drank, the lower the incidence of diabetes. Consuming 3-4 cups a day decreased the risk by 23%, while persons drinking more than 7 cups daily cut their risk in half.
A study among middle-aged Finnish men and woman confirmed these results. The Finns drink more coffee per capita than any nation in the world, so its impact on their public health could be dramatic. After controlling for numerous variables, this study found that consuming 3-4 cups a day reduced diabetes risk by 24%. Those consuming 10 or more cups a day lowered their risk by 61%.

the average person will probably just feel extremely nervous if they drink too much caffiene (not just coffee). There is a chance of heart dysrythmias/arrythmias from too much caffiene. After all, caffiene IS a stimulant. This is why people with a history of heart disease are told to either eliminate or strictly limit their caffiene intake.
Other effects: can cause stomach discomfort if take in too much on empty stomach, and will discolor your teeth.
