I have tried changing my password, NOTHING works.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, checked my connection settings, and nothing works.

Do you have latest version of Messenger installed?
If yes good if not then install please.
As you said, you can not log in, when you try to log in in Messenger you will have to insert Yahoo I.D and Password.
Are these same as you have been using before? if Yes then do one thing. Create a new Yahoo account which is very easy. Use that Id and password to log in if you still fail then there is a chance if you got Security software then fire wall could be a source of problem. If not Try this finally:
Before this make sure you have installed yahoo messenger.
Click on Start at the bottom left
Click of Program
Click on Accessories
Click on System Tools
Click on System Restore, you will have to choose a date in dark bold which you think suitable when messenger was working fine.
Follow the instructions.
At the completion you will have to reboot computer.
I think this MUST solve your problem.
By following this procedure there is no harm to your files or data.

Messenger in Yahoo Mail isn't loading correct. I try signing in even with the undeniable fact that it would not do it the 1st time or 2d or 0.33. while it finally shows me on line it says I have no contacts on line while i be attentive to that there are human beings on line. I try sending messages and the guy never gets it. they try sending me and that i never obtain. that's while it keeps me signed in long sufficient to objective sending messages. in many cases signs and warning signs me out interior of a jiffy, however human beings say I look on line on their touch lists. I even have 2 yahoo money owed and am having this difficulty on the two money owed on my workstation (works ok at artwork). i attempted all the stairs stated above on the two browsers. i began having this difficulty 4 days in the past. i'm making use of a Mac OS X 10.6.8 on the two Safari 5.a million.9 and modern-day version of Chrome.

Is it possible you just installed some m$ service pack before (for example winxp sp2)? Install/activate any software just before connection lost?

uninstall ur messenger and then reinstall it.
