I am thinking about doing a tesol course and teaching english overseas but i stole some cars and burgled some houses when i was younger will this stop me from being able to do it?

If you did these things before you were 18, then it should not count against you. But if you did them after 18 and have not been able to get your record expunged, then yes, it will count against you.

I had to have a criminal record check to be allowed to move to Switzerland (where I do teach English but that wasn't the point of the check). But I don't know what would have happened if I HAD had a record.

Maybe in a poorer place (LOL everywhere's poorer than Switzerland) they wouldn't have the resources to check and/or there'd be less competition to get in.

it is very hard for ex criminal to work in some country especially japan and many others but u still can try

I guess it depends on the age when U did those crimes and mostly depends on the country U plan to teach in...

My policy is "Think big, get big" Hence try as much as you can, then god will give you your fruit. Somthing is better than Nothing. Hence try & try keep on try. If you try to teach online nobody can restrict you. Hence try to teach online.

I am ready to learn online from you. Will you teach me?
