Well isn't earth a living hell? Christians say that God is on Earth. I guess God goes to Hell to punish sinners then.

Hell is being shut off from the presence of God. Hence God doesn't visit hell becuase then it would cease to be hell. Sinners are punished by the realisation that they have been cut off from the presence of God. Its the the mental anguish of realising what could have been.

Satan and his demons reside in Hell and to them it is not about punishment for our sins. They encourage us to sin and remain in sin so we feel that there is no need for God in our lives during our existance on Earth. They make sinning enjoyable to us in subtle ways so that we do not know the difference between what is good for us or what is bad. When we die having not repented or having accepted God into our lives, we go to Hell because that was our earthly choice and so upon arrival, you won't see anything from God including the hope that we always feel here. You will know there is no hope because all the good things that God gave to us on earth will not be there. Satan will be laughing his head off at another soul to torture though, because that is all he is interested in. He doesn't care how you get there as long as you get there.

No, not according to what i have read; but dose it really matter if you believe in heaven or hell what difference dose it make who is doing the punishment it could be god, satin, or your 3rd grade principal, eternal punishment is just that.
