Poison Ivy is caused by the oils in the plant. Chlorine neutralized any oils it comes in contact with. Often swimming in a pool can speed the healing process.

If you have it really bad, use Benedryl spray. Also check with your doctor about taking Benedryl tablets as you will be attacking it from the inside and the outside.
