Relationships are hard enough when the stage is set between two completely single people. Now take two singles and add one bitter ex-wife (kids..?), things get complicated. I've never been married, but I do have a daughter. And really, that's hard enough. Because I know, no matter where I am in life, no matter what I end up doing, her mom is going to be around. It's never going to be just me and a girl I'd like to date. It's going to be me, the girl I like, my daughter, and her mother. Complicated.

Single men have less drama in their lives. There is always the possibility that the girlfriend will have to deal with the wife...or soon to be ex-wife and that is just too much stress for some people. Plus technically you are still a married man if you are only "going through a divorce"...until you get that Final Divorce Decree you are not legally divorced and so Dating is still adultery. Wouldn't you rather date a single woman then a married woman?

In the beginning of a relationship, it is supposed to be fun. A guy going through divorce is not fun to be around coz he will bring around his excess baggage.

Personally, as a woman... I wouldnt touch a guy who's going thru a devorce because that would mean theres emotional baggae there and it would be too much drama... would a guy hook up with a girl who was going thru a devorce?
I think it goes both ways..
