Most people, including christians have been fooled into thinking that the promised land was only for the "jews".

For those who believe in whatever version of the bible they chose, the promise is to ABRAHAM and his decendents NOT just jews... (decendants of Judah?).

This includes those who are now arabs, christians, muslims, communists....

The promise os to the decendents of abraham. They are not just going to be one religion (hence they may not even believe in god).

The russian Askanazi "jews" are mainly khazar converts so technically, they will not qualify. Also, the arabs are also decendents of abraham (semitic) so the will all qualify.

For those who doubt the source, please look it up in your own bible.

Deuteronomy 11:25 (New International Version)
"No man will be able to stand against you. The LORD your God, as he promised you, will put the terror and fear of you on the whole land, wherever you go."

Simple, the xtians and the muslims are trying to stake a claim on that which is not rightfully theirs. God clearly gave the Promised Land to his chosen people - the Jews. the xtians from Israel (historically) might have some small claim but the others who joined from other countries or geographic areas are not of the chosen people. The muslims descend from Ishmael, the bastard son of Abraham and therefore wouldn't inherit anything at all. After all, his mother was only a mistress. Hagar and Ishmael were cast out with nothing. Both the xtians and the muslims however, can't stand the possibility that they might be (are) wrong and heretical. they beat everybody over the head with their plagiarised "holy books" and assume that if they keep saying that it's right, it will become right. Of course, if they kill everybody who disagrees with them, then there will be no dissent. In the past, the xtians did that but luckily grew up a little and realised that they'd end up with a war they couldn't win. That could, of course happen again if the surviving fundamentalist crackpots don't wake up to reality.

You are quite correct. All nations shall come to salvation through Jesus who is to come from Abraham, and it is not meant to be the Jews at all. Furthermore, the promised land figuratively is not the land occupied by the Jews and Palestine at the current time, it is Heaven or the Kingdom of God. If any body thinks that Christ eternal Kingdom is Israel, then you yourself have to think in more symbolic manner. First the Kingdom of God is not what we have there now on the land of Israel; second, the Kingdom of God is within yourself; third, Holy Jerusalem appears in Revelation to be coming down from Heaven for all who accepted the Lord Jesus and washed themselves in his blood.

You got me. I thought the promised land was supposed to be for "Gods chosen people", which I thought was supposed to be the Jewish people. Doesnt make much sense as I also think according to the bible we were supposed to have been created equal, but there you go. Then again, Jewish people are not exactly a genetically distinct group, but there are similarities in the genetics dependent on where they come from, so there must be some leeway. Most of my "knowledge" comes from Charlton Heston movies though.....

yeah you have to worry at a point made by someone who quotes Al-jjazeerah as his source. Perhaps not the most unbiased source you'd find.

As far as I'm concerned Abraham was Jewish, and his "decendents" means the Jews, not the whole of mankind.

Frankly as a christian they're welcome to it.

Now perhaps some of you Islamophiles will explain to me why as a christian I will never be allowed to enter Medina or Mecca?

I'm going to ask Blair that all you lot are banned from Canterbury - imagine the uproar.

What the hell is wrong with you dude.

FIRSTLY. Use you spell check for everyone's sake.
SECONDLY. All the books from the bible were written many hundreds of years after Jesus and his disciples were even alive, then they have been re-written and re-written time and time again. It makes me so cross, people like you who say "what i think god meant to say is!" your arrogance in matters like this is the only thing that supersedes your stupidity.
THIRDLY. The true meaning of God is! An Omnipotent, transcendental, forgiving and punishing spiritual force.
This goes for all religions, be it Judaism, Christianity or Buddhism. Its people like you that set the rockets of hate, that invade your cousins borders. You are obviously a very narrow minded and hateful person,

Think of this..... "Every person on this planet are related, the furthest relationship between two people is only removed seven time"
Do please enjoy encouraging people to murder your cousins in the name of God. YOU JACKASS
