I would honor you uncle's wishes. If he left the money to certain people, then he must have had a reason to do so. Those who are pressuring you to refuse the money are, in reality, asking you to give them money. This is no different than a beggar on the street, only the beggar admits what they are doing!!

You honor the wishes of your Uncle - he had his reasons for making that decision. And I'm guessing that if that chica wants you all to desert your inheritance, he knew what he was doing. I say much love to my smart uncle who realized too late that he married the wrong person. Plus really, if his wishes are in a will she can't ask you to not honor it. It's a whole different picture when the money is being transferred legally;

You Uncle has every right to decide who gets what-- personally I would prefer the person to be alive and appreciate them that way rather than take whats left but thats the harsh reality when someone dies. I don't think anybody has the right to decide and it's because he is no longer here that family members reckon they can.

He left that money to those stated in his will and there's nothing you can do about it. Just live with it.

Follow your uncle's wishes. Take what he has left for you. He must have his own reasons for not wanting his step-daughter to have any. She has no rights to the money and she cannot force you to do anything against your will.

Your legacy IS yours. Nobody for whatever reason shhould rob you of it. Your uncles will should be followed; you can then do as you wish with the money left to you; that is, give it his wifes daughter if you so wish. I would tell his wife to go to hell, he must have had reasons for excluding his wife's daughter!

I guess you'd have to consider what your uncle's reasonings were for not wanting the daughter to get an enheritance. He might have had a really good reason. If you don't know the reason(s), you might want to just consider honoring his wishes anyway.

Personally, I think that's really tacky of anyone to tell others what to do so they can benefit from someone's estate. It's just really low-class IMO.

Take the money mate. He must of had a reason for not wanting his wife's daughter to have it. Use it to do something your uncle would be proud of. xx

You uncle had his reasons which may or not be known.... although you say its his wife's daughter, so strictly not related to him.

No you shouldn't refuse it, she'll have to get it over it and over herself, she was not his child.

I've also left money to my brothers children as well as my own kids.

You should respect his wishes, refusing to accept the money would not necessarily mean that she would receive it any way. If you all feel sorry for your cousin, then why not give some of the money to her yourselves. Wills seem to cause so much upset at a time when a loved one has been lost.

Hmmmm. His wishes should be respected.
If his wifes daughter is a friend of yours, you could share.
If she is only around for the money, and you rarely hear from her.... except when there is something for her to gain, well, you do the math.
DON"T LET HER GUILT YOU
I'm sure you could do with the money. It's a gift TO YOU, not her.
