Hi, first let me say congrats on taking this important step! The thing that matters most when you start out is your mind. You have to stay positive and try to enjoy your workout. This will affect other areas that you need to change like snacking and junk food.
That said, research shows that aerobic exercises like jogging, riding and swimming are more effective in reducing your tummy than crunches and all those ab- gimmicks.
Your body will begin to look different after 4-6 weeks before you notice the difference on the weighing scale. One thing I've noticed is that the change is slow at first but when it starts, you'll be unstoppable. Your can safely lose 1 to 1.5 Kg per week. I know cause I lost 21 Kilos in the last year and It's done wonders for me.

It depends upon on your diet, largely. What you did was a good start -- burning perhaps 150 calories, maybe slightly more depending upon the pace of your run.
Make sure you are keeping a food log so that you consume slightly less calories than you are using (so if you need 2000 calories to survive, shoot to consume about 1400 - 1600 calories).
I like http://www.fitday.com, when I am serious about losing weight. They have tools there to track your activities and how many calories you burn. I found the site indespensible when it comes to losing weight.
Assuming your diet is in order and your workouts progress, I think you'll find some weight loss and more stamina / energy in the 4 - 6 week range.

Don't hold your breath...no pun intended....belly fat takes awhile and the ab roller almost does you no good. Sit ups, crunches, leg lifts all of those don't get your belly flat. Eating right gets your belly fat. Its a simple equation, burn off more than you take in and you will lose fat. Don't starve yourself though, because your body will horde the calories.

Not for a few months, it depends on a lot of different things, whether you are also following a diet, your build, your general condition.

Everyone's body is different. I would go to www.fitday.com so you can track everything. This will give you an idea of how much you will need to work on losing weight.
