I would say that my speedometer was reading the correct speed. There's a little known tolerance band for this to cater for differences. Not all speedo's are going to give an exact reading. I think it's worked at 10% + 3mph so if you were in a 40 limit you could get away with 47 mph.

30 - 36mph
50 - 58mph
60 - 69mph
70 - 80mph

Another thing to do is ask to see the calibration certificate for their speed gun equipment, if it hasn't been calibrated before use, they can't do anything. Obviously they'll only admit this when you confront them with it, otherwise they keep quiet and still fine you.

Police 999 calls are only graded by using the operators who answer the calls and create the jobs... and each and every rigidity has different names and objective for those call listed right here are some i positioned from a mixture of forces yet might want to be got here upon on there information superhighway web pages. instantaneous calls ie existence in probability,Suspect present, harm to property emergency calls are graded interior the reaction time ie London is 12 minutes objective for emergency calls. easy - Incidents which include severe crime which aren't from now on in progression, no suspect present or interior of reach and there is subsequently no longer a severe and instantaneous probability to existence, own safe practices. Attended asap often interior of 12hrs Scheduled - Appointments, oftentimes, incidents which aren't from now on in progression. Asap often interior of 24hrs. the way i see it no rely what his age he's a sufferer however the suspect changed into lengthy gone so no probability to the sufferer and the sufferer himself changed into interior the pub having a drink.. both way a certainty changed into taken and any forensics from the homestead is fairly after the marvel of all of it and some time passing he possibly recalled more effective coaching. 8hrs seems alongside time to the son and sufferer yet then so is 12minutes to three one being overwhelmed. And as above from the united kingdom police officer there are only no longer sufficient police, i changed into on a policechronic round on a hectic evening shift overlaying a weekend 18 officials on patrol for a hectic london patch interior of 2hrs numerous the officials were off the streets with prisoners the others on scenes of crime and then operating out even as had to assist colleugues..

Depends what you mean by little.

The majority of Car and Van drivers do exceed 70 mph on motoroways. The police accept this.

Normally, you can expect to be pulled over if you exceed 85 mph or are reckless.

If you were caught doing 100+, then expect to lose your license.

Your not going to get pulled over for doing a little over the speed limit on the motorway.

If you do, as a responsible citizen you should insist the officer gives you a ticket. If he doesn't you should take his name and report him.

be polite and courteous

failing the "attitude test" is a sure way to get a ticket or into more trouble. Smile and be nice.

I don't condone speeding at all, but my speedo has actually stopped working so you could try that excuse. Best thing is not to speed - safer for you and everyone else.
