how can you change a 9mm to a 45.??? is it possible?

Sorry, it's impossible to do. 9 mm is a much weaker caliber as compared to a .45. Just look at the difference in size of the rounds. The 9 mm gun was design to accept loads and pressures for that, not for a much larger one. Besides, the handle and the magazine are not interchangable, nor a kit made for this, and it's for a good reason.
You're better off going for a new/used gun. Try shooting other calibers first before making your decision. Shooting is supposed to be fun, not who has the biggest gun.

Possible? Maybe. Practical? No.

If you like the Ruger trade your .9mm Ruger for one in .45acp and pay the difference for the newer Ruger.

A lady friend of mine had a .45acp Ruger, but it was a bit too large for her small hands. She traded for a .9mm Steyr w/polymer frame.

With the right ammo the .9mm is still a man-stopper.

If you just want a .45, look at the new Glock .45GAP (Glock-action pistol); it should be available in several sizes. Most frame sizes in .45acp tend to be too large for ladies.

well first you clean up your ruger then offer it up for a trade....there are a lot of peoploe trading their pieces. Check your local gunshop, maybe they do trade in.....good idea to switch to 45.....
