Depends on how closely you were brought up. It is illegal to marry any relative closer than a first cousin but even if the blood relationship is more distant than this if you are within a close knit family a relationship can prove tricky.
If you just see it as a one-off sexual encounter are you likely to see her at family gatherings in the future? Could it cause an awkwardness between you if things are brief or don't work out? She could be feeling very low at the moment, and could want more than just sex, are you sure you're not just taking advantage of the situation?
You need to think very carefully about the situation. Its not wrong from a legal point of view but could be wrong from a moral standpoint (depending on your motives) and could cause family problems

Sorry but this is wrong on so many levels. In my family I am really close with my 2nd cousin. Sex would never even cross my mind. This is pretty sick.

You can legally have a sexual relationship with your cousin or second cousin, just not with any closer relatives. The issue is more about how close you are to them and would you both be comfortable with it. Hope it works out for you if thats what you want.

There's nothing wrong with actually doing it, either. Second cousins don't class as incest (in fact, neither do first cousins - unless, perhaps, you're strict Roman Catholic, but I'm not sure that even the RC Church has a problem any more).

Yes, second cousins are a bit close in relations. If you get her pregnant there will be a good chance of birth defects and miscarriage. Third is considered safe but really fifth or farther is better.

Hormones do what the hell they wat to do get off his n*ts people lol!! I think its ok to an extent...ive had minor thoughts of attraction to my cousins, we are freakin humans the sense of attraction does what it wants to, its not like just cause they're your cousin there ugly as hell, they have attractions just like us. Most people do not talk aobut it, sometimes i feel the same way so no..its not really wrong to have the thoughts of sexual attraction your cousin.
