My Grim Reaper took a swin in my Pool! He turned into a girl, with no face, dove into the pool and disappeared. Poor Auntie Mamie went with him. It was very sad for Nina and the twins. I took pic of it, it was awesome!

The Grim Reaper is merely a personification of death. Some art from the middle ages represents death as a skeleton with a scythe, which "he" uses to cut people down, thus "reaping" souls.

Every culture had a harbinger of death. So, no, I don't believe in a grim reaper, per se, but a rose by any other name, right?

There are actually lots of them. I think my favorite one is George though. She is so sweet. I'm so glad she got rid of her nickname: toilet seat girl. That wasn't very nice of the other reapers to tease her like that about how she died.

OOPs I forgot to answer the why part at first. I believe in her because tv doesn't lie.

The grim reaper is a personification of Death. that comes to collect the souls of those that died in the original version. also a guide to the after life. and the personification of entropy.
but look at a tarot card of death .those before him are sick and old and welcome his embrace . thoase behind him have been returned to life.
In death there is life and in life there is death.

No. He's just a popular fictional character in horror movies, in comic books, cartoons, on tattoos, posters, shirts, etc. "Don't Fear the Reaper!"

kind of. Muslims believe in the angel of death. the only time a person's repentance is accepted is before the angel of death comes to take your soul or before the day of judgment day where the sun rises from the west.

Nah. -But he makes for a pretty good action figure though. -A show stopper every time! Personally- I think Death should be represented by a pretty girl. Think about it; How many guys would "die to meet"- the girl of their dreams?!! :)

My neighbor is always cussing and throwing tools around when he works in his wife's vegetable garden. He's kind of grim when he's reaping.

That's an awesome question! I've actually wondered that myself. I myself don't believe in him, but you would think that more people would! People already believe in other archaic, silly things. Actually, that would be freakin awesome if he really did exist. He's a pretty cool dude! It would make dying much more exciting!
