A real Martini is Gin or Vodka with a splash of dry vermouth. Apple, peach, and even chocolate "martini's" are really only stylish sugarry cocktail drinks served in a Martini glass.

A real martini is either Vermouth and Gin or Vermouth and Vodka shaken with ice, and filtered into a MArtini glass, and dressed with a green olive. Everything else is a mixed drink. All these faketinis make me gag.

classic martini - particularly good high quality gin (eg Tanqueray 10) plus an rather very small volume of vermouth. Shaken in cocktail shaker with crushed ice and served with a pair of green olives. version - upload small volume of grand marnier and a twist of orange.
