Obviously that guy doesn't know to implement today's technology in a romantic situation...but to get to the point, if he is serious, then I think you might want to talk to him. I mean if a guy is serious about proposing and thought texting you a marriage proposal was a great idea and innovative idea then he was greatly mistaken. When a guy wants to marry a girl he should be considerate to her feelings and figure out what an ideal proposal for the girl might be, and asking accordingly.

Furthermore, it depends on the guy, have you know him long enough to even consider the proposal to be the real deal? If not, then I would disregard the proposal and ask him why he did that....I mean who really does that? Was he drunk?

Lastly, just for kicks...maybe you should text him "yes, I want (whatever type of diamond ring) and my ring size (#), I will come by tomorrow and you can take me to (the most expensive restaurant in your town) and ask me again with ring and all" and see how he reacts to that?

Take it as you wish, but I would definitely wait until he asked me to my face. If he doesn't soon, then ask him about it. I would ask if he was serious, and if he was, ask him to do it in a romantic place. Some people would say wait until you have a ring but I didn't have a ring when my fiancee proposed, but ours was face to face. Depending on what kind of guy he was, he could have done it after drinking, or drugs, or his friends could have done it. As I said Im not saying the guy drinks or does drugs, but theres a lot of stuff that people do whenever they are wasted. So depending on the guy...but I would definitely ask him about it - what if it wasnt even him?

He could be joking or serious. Best way to find out is text him. Say yeah, how about McDonald's at 3 on Sunday or something crazy like that. Then if he was serious, he'll probably say no for real will you marry me or he'll just laugh at your silly answer and realize that you got the joke. Good luck!

This texting technology... sometimes ppl forget if we're real human and we deserve personal stuff for particular thing...like proposal...cancelation...stuff like that...

It can be real...but that's not the kind of proposal I want to have!

Its a really STUPID unromantic and not very serious way of proposing, but he might be serious. I think its a time for a sit down talk with him.

haha...no clue if it's real or not. You should text him back saying "if you mean this then ask me in person" and see what he says
