Well their are two possibilities :
1) He likes You, and is shy to make the first move !
2) He has a poor sense on what types of gifts to be given to girlz !

Ask him. Tell him thanks for them and then tell him that it seems like he is avoiding you. Then ask him if there is was anything more than friendship driving his gift. Don't assume anything, there are too many possibilities.
